Jesse Lee Cemetery

At North of Hope we have a huge vision for significant partnerships to accomplish great things. In the Coastal City of Seward, we have partnered with the Qutekcak Native Tribe to create a lasting memorial entry to the Jesse Lee Cemetery that will bring dignity and closure to many.

Rough-Sawn Arch of Remembrance

This phase includes the structural drawings, engineering and construction of the entry into the Jesse Lee Cemetery. The carved Western Red Cedar Totems and main Yellow Cedar Panel will be attached to this structure. Completion and Dedication of Phase One is set for the Summer of 2026.

Phase One: Fully Funded!

Carved Totems and Interpretive Center Panel

Imagine entering the Jesse Lee Cemetery beneath a grand, hand-carved cedar archway, suppot beams rough-sawn for authenticity and timelessness while being faced by two towering 14-foot totem poles made out of Western Red Cedar. At the center, a 14-foot-wide by 36-inch-tall carved Yellow Cedar panel tells a single, powerful story.

This is not abstract art. It will be a living testimony. Families who come to mourn will pass beneath these carvings and feel dignity restored. Young people will see their ancestors honored in a way that affirms their own identity. Visitors, Alaskans and travelers alike, will encounter a story of resilience that moves the heart and challenges the conscience.

Phase Two FAITH GOAL of $125,000
